So if you're listening to this right now you're probably wondering why are you not

hearing the intro music and why are you hearing this at the top of the podcast?

A little peel behind the onion for you. So I am currently recording this on Sunday night we just

found out that Matt Luke is fired at Old Miss Marler is out right now like most

people do on a Sunday night but I wanted to it at the top of the podcast just because we talk

about Olmus as if Matt Luke is coming back in 2020. We talk about the Egg Bowl,

break down the madness that was the end of that game and you know when we recorded the

podcast which was roughly 12 hours ago we recorded on Sunday morning we were

under the impression that Matt Luke was going to get another year they were going to

keep that staff in place.

As it turns out, that is not the case.

Matt Luke and his entire staff, we believe, are being bought out.

Interim athletic director Keith Carter is no longer the interim athletic director and it turns out he had some some different things in mind when he came out with that statement last week basically saying Matt Luke is our coach he's our coach that's

why I think a lot of us are surprised by this definitely took us a bit by

surprise to see somebody who had shown you know I think that offense had

shown a lot of progress I think the defense that Mike McIntyre

had incredibly improved. And Old Miss was a team that, in my opinion, was much better than their

record. I know they were a four-win team. I know there are old miss fans that were frustrated. They didn't win the

Egg Bowl this year or last year and you know we're put a lot of their blame on Matt Luke but

you know he inherited obviously a very unique situation with the Hugh Fries

fallout and you know there there are a lot of things to be said for somebody who

comes into a program that's facing a bull band for the first two years
