According to Coin desk indices at 8 a.m. Eastern time, Bitcoin surged 11% in the past 24 hours,

trading just above $57,000. That's the highest we've seen it since November 2021.

Ether rose 6% over the same time period at $3,260.

The Coin Desk 20 Index was entirely in the green on the day, with Bitcoin cash and Dogecoin seeing bigger gains than even Bitcoin.
