I'm as surprised as you are.

We have a high stakes chess match going on over at Netflix. We will get to that in a moment, but let's start with Berkshire Hathaway

because after the market closed on Friday, Berkshire Hathaway reported third-quarter

earnings, profits up 72%, 3.9 billion in profits, Joe Maker.

That's, it sounds like a nice quarter.

Yeah, it was a good quarter.

I mean, Berkshire's always lumpy because it's an insurance company and they have all sorts of

derivatives on the books that make things really noisy but when you kind of cut

through that the operating companies had very good quarters Burlington Northern the

railway had a good quarter mid Mid American Energy also did well.

All around the operating companies did pretty well.

The insurance business is doing well.

GEICO had a very strong quarter and overall they seem to be trending

well for the year but Hurricane Sandy will probably throw a little bit of a wrench in
