I guess a programming note for our dozens of listeners.

We've been having some technical difficulties lately. I'm happy to report that the technical

difficulties have not been inside this building. They've been with our audio provider who over the

years we've been working with them.'ve been great but every once in a while

someone's going to experience uh you know

a black chest saying is they were genuine technical difficult they were genuine

technical yeah yes and yes involving servers being shut down and and that sort

of thing so it is it is absolutely technical so as always we appreciate your patients

uh... we're going to talk uh... ibiam we've got earnings from them Goldman Sachs eBay but let's start with the

shutdown the shutdown is now over the the debt ceiling deadline is no longer

it's still a deadline now I guess it's been moved to February.

So I guess in January and February, we get to have this debate all over again.

But for now, the government has reopened.
