We will salute a consumer brand legend

and talk about the future of a little company you may have heard of,

a little company called Pepsi.

But we will begin with Groupon. When we last left Groupon, this is like a soap opera.

It's like as the Groupon turns, when we last tuned into Groupon, the On Again, Off, off again IPO was back on. Some news has come out however

that the company has had to update its statements to the SEC. Charlie, as you may

know in the initial statement, Groupon said that their revenues

for the first half of this year was $1.5 billion. It's been updated. It turns out it's $68 million so basically cut in half.

Come a little short.

Yeah.

What happened?

Why why are we cutting groupons revenues in half?

Yeah, so anybody who gets the, you know, Groupon deals in their email knows that, you know,

you'll sign up and you get $50 worth of food at a restaurant or a spa and you pay 25 bucks or something like that.

And what Groupon was doing was booking the entire amount as revenue and including in that the

amount they were supposed to split 50-50 with the vendor.
