I'm Chris Ellen joining me in studio today for Motley Fool Special Ops, Mike Olson,

We are going to dip into the full mail bag but first I would be remiss if we did not talk about the

news of the day and that is the fact that the Federal Reserve

announced it is extending its plan to keep interest rates low

until at least the middle of 2015.

Free money forever.

Joe they're also planning to buy do I have this right

40 billion dollars worth of mortgage bonds per month for as long as the economy

needs it. That's not a typo that That's accurate. Yes. What do you think? I think

it's unnecessary and I don't like the idea that the Fed is getting this active to keep propping up

markets. That said, all my bank stocks are doing quite well today.

So I guess I'm a little bit happy with that.

But all things equal, kidding aside,

I would prefer that we not feel like we have to keep injecting stimulus even just at the hint of a

double-dib recession.

Mike, what do you think?

Well, I mean, we're kind of a prisoner to the policies we've enacted now and that the market continues to expect it and

absent that there is the perceived risk that investment will decline.
