But first, the Standard and Poor's Case Schiller Index of Home Prices was released this morning

Home Prices in January continued to slide in most major U.S. cities.

Bill Mann, I'll start with you.

I suppose that's not the most surprising headline.

What was the most striking thing to you in the K Schiller report?

I think the most surprising thing is that you have heard chatter about inventory clearing in a lot of places but the most surprising

thing to me is that there was really only one city that had a positive

experience with its housing prices and that was Washington DC which yeah yeah golf clap the

other one would being San Diego which was a which is a much more adversely

selected market this this point.

That was one of the big boom markets.

But it really surprised me just how across the board

the returns were just horrible.

Yeah, you got 20 cities in the index.

18 of them were down.
