We've got a lot to get to today, including the future of Microsoft, but we begin with today's

earnings headlines.

Earlier today, Michael Kors announced some pretty solid numbers.

Mike Olson, run us through what caught your eye and how the quarter went for cores.

I mean the collective appetite for cheesy purses is, I mean it's really just quite astounded. A selective

appetite for cheesy purses is I mean it's really just quite astounding

Comparable store sales so that's locations that have been open for more than a year up

27.8% not bad. Yeah if I could do that I would love to earnings

for share up 73.4% truly this is an outstanding performance. There's no getting around that. Gross margins were something on order of 60% I think operating margins.

We're 30% company is basically minting cash. The problem is this is a really difficult business. They've

expanded or they've succeeded by expanding the size of the pie moving down market and there can come a time

when you're dealing in middle market luxury goods that your customers no

longer like what you are. They're in a very kind of interesting market position

where they're right at the center. They offer something that is aspirational

and yet it's also accessible.

So that's a hard position to be in.
