We're going to talk about the Consumer Electronics Show.

We're going to dip into the fool mail bag,

but we're going to start with banking and frankly a whole lot of banking.

Let's start with Bank of America,

Bank of America announced it will spend more than $10 billion

to settle mortgage claims resulting from the housing meltdown.

3.6 billion of that goes to Fannie Mae.

Another 6.7 billion goes to buying back loans.

It had sold to Fannie Mae over an 8-year period from 2000 to 2008.

Joe, I'll start with you.

Brian Moynihan, the CEO, said this is a significant step

to resolving legacy mortgage issues, streamlining the company

and reducing future expenses do you

agree all true like everything is a significant step though right yeah well I

think in this case it's a big wiggle gorilla that was on their back and it's going to

be easier for the company to move forward.
