Summary

It’s the last market update this week! To round off the past 10 weeks or so, Rob & Rob are having a moment of reflection.  They’re taking a look at what topics they’ve discussed during the market updates and are sharing the lessons they’ve learnt from the coronavirus situation that you can also learn a few things from.  The Robs are also discussing a report from Rightmove that has seen a spike in the number of people looking for rental accommodation. This is due to people changing jobs and moving locations, but also personal circumstances changing.  But is it just another headline, or is there actually some truth behind it? Tune in to find out. Enjoy!   We’d love to hear what you think of our new market updates over on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. You might even have a question you’d like us to cover in the future - if so, pop us a message on social and we’ll see what we can do. Make sure you’ve liked and subscribed to our YouTube channel where we upload new content every week!  If that wasn’t enough, you can also join our friendly property community on the Property Hub forum. So, Rob, I'm going to ask you for the last time, the last time on Mike anyway.

0:14.8

How are you feeling?

0:15.8

Okay, thanks. I'm kind of glad that we're not asking this question on air anymore because I tend to say similar things each week that I'm not high and not low I'm somewhere in the middle

0:25.3

I've had some good days this week and some days not as good but nothing amazing and nothing

0:30.7

awful it's interesting in work we have a communication system called

0:35.6

Slack and we have different channels and those channels have themes, someone like

0:40.1

really serious stuff where lots of work gets done and some are a bit more lighter.

0:44.8

One of the channels that we have and that's been set up specifically during the crisis is a

0:50.1

thought for the day and Tony who's referred to as Magic Tony within a company

0:54.0

because of the magical things he can do curates that channel and in the week he

0:58.9

posted a thought that said there are people who would love to have your bad days and that really

1:04.0

resonated with me during the week was one of the days this week it was a bit tougher

1:08.2

than some of the others and I remembered that quotes and it's like you know what that quote actually is super powerful not just for the middle of the coronavirus

1:17.7

But generally in life moving forward because there will be always people who would just adore to have your bad days.

1:25.0

And I think if you frame your mindset like that, you can kind of bring yourself back to a

1:29.6

middle level of emotion reasonably quite quickly.

1:32.4

I think that's a safer place to be

1:33.5

emotionally as well. Nice level of contentment, you know, not really high all the

1:38.4

time, not really low all the time, but just contentment and when you find

1:41.7

yourself moving one way or another trying to bring
