It was three-something in the morning, East Coast time, when Freddie Freeman went deep in the

18th of game three, six hours and 39 minutes of what will likely go down as one of the all-time

greatest postseason games in any sport.

It was that good. It was that riveting. Mark Zuckerman, because I texted with him,

stayed up. And I did too. I think the only reason I stayed up is because I was working after the football

game and I flipped it on and I just stayed with it. Look, you've covered this sport forever.

The first World Series I covered was 2001 Diamondbacks Yankees, which had three of the all-time games.

You have the Yankee comebacks in the bottom of the ninth at Yankee Stadium,

and then the ultimate Diamondbacks come back in the ninth of game seven.

And so I've always felt like that was the pinnacle, you know, certainly for the whole

series and the way that game seven ended.
