All right, two things.

One, do you remember Schraffs?

These Schraff's restaurants, they were all over New York.

I think they were around the country, too.

There were a bunch of them in here.

Somebody has bought the whole thing, the name, the rights, and it's going to reopen

Schraffs in New York.

They were famous for, well, all kinds of things, and they all have that famous

lunch counter.

Back then, this sounds very strange but uh women

didn't feel uh comfortable just going to a restaurant by themselves but shraffs was known

for a place for women uh shopping whatever could go eat by themselves they're looking at a midtown

location yeah it said it here it says it became known as a safe place.

Women entering the workforce could dine in alone. And it was also known for hiring women in the kitchen,

management positions and all of that. So they're going to do pop-ups the next three Sundays,
