Summary

Welcome to the Ann & Phelim Scoop. On today’s show, we bring you a very special interview with Mark Steyn, straight from his cruise ship! Our discussion is centered around media and its influence in framing the progressive narrative. Between Mark and us, there couldn’t have been any better candidates to talk about this issue with. In case you didn’t know, Mark Steyn was recently sued for defamation by climate activist Michael Mann. The litigation was utterly entertaining and very eye-opening to the hostile nature of the climate change movement when their climate alarmism comes under scrutiny. We covered the entirety of the trial with our verbatim podcast: Climate Change on Trial. If you haven’t listened yet, now is the time.

It was amazing to see how Leftist media institutions covered the Michael Mann v. Mark Steyn trial. Publications like The New York Times and CNN practically ran the same stories after the verdict, never having sent a single reporter to the trial at all. This should raise a lot of concerns about the structural and systemic biases within mainstream media. If anything, the coverage of the Mark Steyn trial proves how we live in hermetically sealed media worlds. This is not an episode you’ll want to miss.
