Hey, it's Mark Simone. This is the bonus segment for all of you podcast listeners out there, which we do every week.

So, you know, news sites are losing a lot of clicks. All the top news sites, you know, the big newspapers and websites, you know, whether it's New York Times, even the New York Post,

losing clicks like crazy because of AI.

Used to be in one of the news, you'd go to the New York Post.com.

If you're crazy, New York Times.com or even at FoxNews.com, all the great news sites or Politico or whatever.

But a lot of people, especially started with younger people, but whatever they do, eventually everybody else starts doing.

They're starting to use AI.

They just simply ask AI about something in the news, and AI comes up with the answer.

And sometimes AI will go through those news sites, but the problem is the news

site doesn't get credit for you clicking in and looking at it. So there's been a big drop on

news sites, even the Forbes, Huffington Post. Did you know there was still a Huffington Post?

Hit the hardest losing almost half of their traffic. Dailymail.com lost

32% of its traffic. CNN lost 28% of traffic. Wall Street Journal suffered a almost 30% decline.

Fox News fell 24%. Again, more and more people using AI for this stuff and part of the problem is it's

google AI so a lot of people when they want uh they heard something in the news like you know you wake up

one morning connie francis has died so you google connie francis and then usually would take you to a list of

news sites and you'd click on one,

and the news site would get the click.

But now when they put it into Google, before you can do that, AI puts up the whole thing for you.

They've done it, and then you don't go to the news site.

So this is going to be a problem because all these news sites make all their money on these clicks.
