same even as i'm saying hello it's ken rosato i feel bad that mark is here because i love mark

but he's getting his well-deserved day off i'm a fan like you because I listen to the show every single day without fail. The good news is the end of the week is here, and it is an honor to be here for Mark. So let's all together, let's honor Mark by thinking of him as he's enjoying his day off. How about that? Oh, wait a minute. I heard of his name. Yeah, I was the TV news anchor in New York for about 25 years. I worked at Channel 7. I worked at Channel 5, Channel 55, and it is such an honor and a pleasure as a fan of 710 WOR to be here sitting in for Mark today.

Well, Christmas and Hanukkah, just 12 days away,

Hanukkah for those who don't realize, begins at sundown December 25th. So just as Christians

are in the middle of Christmas, now our Jewish brothers and sisters get to celebrate the gorgeous

miracle of light. And it's very fitting. I love it when the two sacred holidays of light and joy.

They fall at the same time for so many of our people to celebrate all at once.

My question, what are the hottest toys this season? I don't have kids, and I'm pushing 60. I'm

57. So I'm totally out of touch in terms of toys, but I do have little nephews and nieces.

So I'm just curious. What are the hot toys this year? All you parents, I want to hear from you. What is Santa being asked for? Okay, so let us know what your kids may have written down and said, Mommy, Daddy, please ask Santa for this for us, because i'm just curious i need to buy some gifts

wrap up the busy news week i direct you to president elect trump you know what birthright

citizenship is okay we started to talk on about this a little bit in the last hour. So birthright citizenship

is based on the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. It was ratified in 1868 coming out of the Civil War,

and the purpose of it was to grant citizenship and rights to formerly enslaved people. So the way it was

was the Emancipation Proclamation freed the slaves, but they were

technically at that point not citizens of the United States. They were freed people, but not citizens

yet. So the 14th Amendment came in several years later in a granted citizenship. Section 1 of the 14th

Amendment reads, quote, all persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject
