The Mark Simone show on 710 W.O.R. Well, tonight's the big night, the debate, the whole election

could be decided tonight. It could be over tonight. That's what happened with Carter Reagan.

And there's a lot of similarities here because the media was so against Reagan. Democrats were, and obviously the media backed them up.

And for the weeks and months leading up to the debate,

all you heard about was Reagan's a crazy right-wing,

extremist right-wing, crazy warmonger, nasty, vicious, right-wing, extreme.

And then Reagan showed up, and he was this sweet, lovable grandfather type.

So it was, the media actually helped Reagan a lot by painting such an ugly picture of him.

Then when he showed up, he wasn't as bad as everybody said.

In fact, he was pretty lovable.

Trump could try to capture some of that tonight.

Trump can be lovable and charming when he needs to be. They're trying to get under his skin. You know, the Kamala Harris team there, trying to get under his skin. They're trying to rattle him. They're going to try to rattle him. This is all you hear about this is the strategy. You want to rattle him. You can't rattle a guy like that. they're running ads all over the place. He's a liar. He's a thief. He's a crook.

They're running ads. Rattle him. You can't rattle a guy like that.

His crowd size, the media coming up with statistics trying to prove she's getting bigger crowds than him. you know you got to remember a guy like that has been called every name in the world

a day. Anytime he reads anything, you know, he watches television all day and night. He's got it on DVR, so he flies through it all. Anytime it's about him, he looks. He reads all the websites and all that stuff. sees all the stuff you know it's like if you're

on the air if you're me or if you're anybody on the air uh people go to the website and they hit

the email button and they email me all day like that most email is a positive wonderful stuff

love reading email from listeners but every day you get a thousand emails about you, the ugliest, disgusting,

most awful, billions of these.

And as anybody on the air will tell you when you're just beginning and you get an email,
