Well, you know, it is the anniversary of Nixon's resignation.

When would that have been?

No, 74.

Oh, so 74? It's not the 50-year anniversary. No, that's the 49. Why are we celebrating 49?

But it was on this day that Richard Nixon resigned. The Watergate situation,

think about this.

Some guys that were working for Nixon decided they would break in

to the office of Larry O'Brien.

He was the head of the Democratic National Committee,

the DNC, that broke into his office

trying to tap his phone.

And it was in the Water water gate which was a hotel

and an office building and they broke in there remember those guys gordon litty these burglars they

broke in to tamp the phone they made a huge mistake uh and i remember uh interviewing gordon lyddy a

million times,

and whenever I'd ask him about this, he looked like he was going to choke me to do this.

He didn't want to admit to this.

What they had to do was take masking tape and put it around the door

so it wouldn't lock when they closed it.

Now, a picture of the door closed, you put the masking tape up and down vertically so that when the door is closed, you don't see it.
