Usually, if you're the Democrats, this is where you hit the Republican with what they call the October surprise.

You hit him with some big scandal.

You remember with George W. Bush and the final stretch that the last couple of weeks, Al Gore hit him with,

you were arrested for drunk driving years ago. Drunk and driving, they got him, and but Bush handled

it so well. Gore thought this would wipe out Bush, but it was a young George W. Bush who called a press conference at his house

in Maine. He walked outside and he said, this is absolutely true. I did this. It was a horrible

time in my life. I've turned my life around. He was so honest about it. He did what the crisis
