It really is and you know I think it's to some degree obviously a product of the relaxation of the mask mandates and what have you but I barely know anybody at this point that hasn't gotten it and you know.

Well it's a pretty accidental journey in many ways. I ran away from home in high school and

hitchhike to Nashville, Tennessee where I wanted to be a songwriter and I lived a pretty well-known musician and Chris Christofferson was very generous to me and let me live in his apartment and kind of hang out at the studio and I did that for several years and then I found out

about a songwriting contest in Texas that I went to in Curville, Texas in 1975 I

won that and they invited me back in 1976.

I discovered Austin in the middle of that and decided that that's where I wanted to be.

So I packed up and moved to Austin in the mid-70s.
