Take us down to the end of the tunnel.

How does this end?

The European Union made a decision some years ago, led by Germany, in a policy called

Us Politique.

The idea was that we would integrate our economies with Russian economy.

Chiefly, Russia is a fossil fuel producer.

Therefore, the dependency started straightforwardly after the Cold War ended and grew over the decades.

Us politique.

That means that the German economy, which leads Europe as a banking and

manufacturing center, cannot function adequately unless Russia continues to supply natural gas and oil.

Therein is the problem. Europe made a mistake. It depended upon the future as if it was the past.

Soviet Union is defeated. Russia is our brother. We can trust them. Well, it worked out up to a point.

The point is Ukraine. There is the problem, Mark. Now, the U.S. economy is tied to the European and the Asian, but to the European.

They're a great trading partner of ours. So, therefore, if Europe gets unwell, we are pulled into it.
