You know, in around the 70s, I've been, you know, legal trained and all that stuff,

from a prosecutor and all that stuff.

Right around the 70s and 80s, there were these legal theories that were posited by various academics that nobody really paid attention to.

One was something called critical legal studies, and people said, yeah, yeah, yeah.

And there were something like this.

Criminal law has been used as a way to manufacture and perpetuate this differential of treatment between

the haves and the have-nots, between whites and blacks, poor and rich, and that the way to

maybe smooth things out to equalize and to provide these different vectors of equality

is to change the criminal law system.

And people would say, yeah, yeah, yeah.

It's like a theory.

Somebody just said it.

Well, lo and behold, it's happening now.

It's being implemented.
