here in Showbizland. Hey, there's a new movie, a new color purple. Did we need a new version?

You know, I didn't know if we needed it, but I saw it last night, and I have to tell you,

it's going to be a massive hit. Really?

Yeah.

Now, the Color Purple was an novel by Alice Walker that won a lot of awards.

Then it became a movie directed by Stevens Spielberg, starring Whoopi Goldberg, and a terrific

movie.

That was from 1985.

Then it became a musical on Broadway, and it did well but it wasn't great

and so the producers took it off and retooled it and brought it back and then it was a smash hit

and now they've made a movie of that second musical so this is like that yeah but this is like

chicago it was a movie it became a musical then it was a musical again musical. So this is, yeah, but this is like Chicago.
