This is Crane's business.

The flat iron building is now totally empty. It has no tenants?

Yeah, it's, I think it's for sale. And I don't know the history, but that building property,

great landmark, it's a symbol of New York madhattan has been troubled for a long time

and the i think maybe it went into foreclosure i'm just not sure but uh it's uh i have friends who

worked in that building are working for publishing houses and you know there were some

buildings that are better from the outside than on the inside and excuse me you know it's atmospheric

it's beautiful it's a classic early skyscraper it's shaped like a you know triangular shape like a prow

and when you're in there if you're fortunate enough to be in one of it's shaped like a, you know, a triangular shape, like a prow.

And when you're in there, if you're fortunate enough to be in one of the offices that are near the front, the north facing end, it's like the prow of a ship, it can be great because

you've got light, you know, on all sides.

The rest of the building, not so great. They always had trouble with the

retail at the bottom. It was forever on their scaffolds. And so none of the stores that they had

rented to at the base of the building lasted very long because people couldn't get to them.
