A scary column today, the Biden family under the

protection of our DOJ. Have we ever seen a situation where you had a president in cahoots with

an attorney general and FBI director? This is scary, isn't it? It is because it marks a corruption

of the entire process.

I mean, where do you go for justice if the Justice Department is corrupt?

How do you navigate this as a free country?

I mean, I think it really is a quandary.

You know, Mike, when we look back at, say, Watergate,

which is a familiar touchstone for a lot of these federal kind of issues, the Justice Department went through a lot of turmoil, but in the end, it came out.

It did not protect Richard Nixon when the Senate had the votes to impeach

and all of the issues. The courts forced that the tapes, the secret White House tapes, should be

released, which was sort of the final nail in his coffin. And so we count on these differences in government, the three

branches, the checks and balances. So here you have Congress moving in a contempt proceeding

against the director of the FBI because the FBI defied a subpoena would not turn over a document

which supposedly links Joe Biden to a $5 million bribery scheme when he was vice president.

The FBI does not deny having the document, but it has just refused to turn it over.

And so Congress, presumably, the Republicans in the House, will move to hold Christopher Ray, the director, in contempt,

which would then be forwarded to the Justice Department for prosecution. But the

Justice Department, under Joe Biden and under Merrick Garland, is certainly not going to
