and with us every monday michael goodwin how you doing good morning mark thank you uh those of us that

were for curtis for mayor uh the problem with erc adams well he sounded great he looked great but

do we uh some of us thought,

maybe he's just all talk.

Are you starting to think that there's a little truth to that?

Not yet.

Okay.

I think it's too soon.

I think he clearly is pivoting toward, I think, a stepped-up effort.

The last events that have happened since he became mayor on January 1st are all shocking in their own right.

I mean, you've had now five police officers shot, one of them fatally, one of them very critically wounded. You've had that little

girl shot, you know, in gunfire on the street, basically, 11-month-old baby shot, not dead, thankfully,

but wounded seriously.

So you've had these events, and you had another person shoved in front of a,

two people shoved at least in front of trains on the subway tracks, one who was killed,

and another one who got out safely over the weekend. So you had this spate of events that are not all the same.

I mean, the criminal element with the guns obviously is one thing.

The subway shovers tend to be the mentally ill, aggressive mental ill.

Some of them with criminal backgrounds, but mostly

mental illness.

And so there are different problems.
