Hey, as you pointed out yesterday, this war on Trump, there's never been anything like it.

And basically what you're saying is once Democrats crossed the line go totally Stalinist show trial and whatever they take the gloves off, there's no turning back, right?

No, look, I think that there's a good reason why no former president has ever been prosecuted.

You look at the Bill Clinton case, for example.

On his last day in office, he signs a deal with the independent counsel, Robert Ray, at that point,

and basically admits he lied under oath to Monica Lewinsky.

But that's it.

There's no, they're not going to put him on trial.

And then, of course, most famously, Gerald Ford, with the pardon of Richard Nixon.

And you look at the arguments that both Ford made and Robert Ray, the independent counsel in the

Clinton case, it was essentially about tearing the country apart, that you've got these

really strong passions about these former presidents at that point. And as Gerald Ford said,

and a very eloquent and humble speech, frankly,

I advise people to read.
