Hi, good morning, Mark. Thank you.

Hey, the funeral over the weekend of the hero officer, Diller,

hopefully it's some sort of turning point.

Do you think it will make a difference in this state?

I wish I could answer yes.

But I have to say, Mark, that the post coverage today of Carl Heistee,

the Speaker of the State Assembly, basically saying one of the dumbest things ever said by mankind

that longer prison sentences are not really deterrents. Prison is not a detain. What does he mean?

I mean, of course it is. Somebody's locked up. They can't steal. They can't kill anybody. I mean,

that's the whole point of consequences of, you know, if there has been no known

society that survived that had no consequences for crime in fact even the

ones that fail have consequences for crime if it's you have to you will have

total lawlessness if you don't have consequences

now we can argue what the consequences should be but to say there should be

none that people shouldn't be held longer in prison even if they're repeat

shoplifters for example how can you think that?

I mean, how do you get to be an adult and think that?

Does he know how to brush his teeth?
