Eric Adams, Alvin Bragg, Hokel, that St. Patrick's Cathedral, the powerful eulogy.

Are we at a turning point, I hope?

Well, I do too, Mark, and I think there's a very good chance that we are. The eulogy of Officer Rivera's widow was one of the most powerful things I think you could possibly witness.

And anybody who hasn't seen it, go on YouTube, find a video of it.

It's not long, but you will not forget it.

And as I wrote in the column, it reminded me the whole mood, the sense of the audience there,

reminded me of 9-11 funerals in St. Patrick's, where there was, you know, the police and the

fire, particularly many funerals there, spread over months of course as bodies were remains

were found but it was this sense of a catharsis for a for a broken city after 9-11

and and this feel this funeral had some some of that same idea that this is it.

This is a moment, this is different, this is not the same.

And particularly when the widow spoke and addressed Alvin Bragg basically,

the Manhattan DA who was promised to basically not arrest anybody or prosecute many people.

And the audience rose.

I mean, this was not polite applause.

This was a thunderous agreement with the widow's plea that this stopped.
