good morning mark thank you well you did this big huge interview with donald trump part two was in

yesterday's new york post and uh listen when it comes to him saying the election was stolen rigged, I know. You shouldn't do it. But he's not a guy who ever observes manners, protocol, anything. And every president's got some crazy thing he keeps saying. You know, Biden keeps saying there's white supremacists everywhere when there aren't. But you know he's not going to stop. Trump's not going to stop saying that.

That's probably right, Mark.

But I think that it is costing him among a lot of people who support his policies, but find

this to be part of the tick about him that they don't like and that they feel

is destructive to the Republican brand in general, but more specifically about the chances of

his being re-elected.

It is, you know, the more you think about it, right, this whole idea that the election was stolen,

the point of the interview was, is that a litmus test?

Must I believe this to support you?

And I used the reference of Ed Koch, who once said, look, if you support me on

nine out of 12 issues, you should vote for me. If you support me on 12 out of 12 issues, you should

see a psychiatrist. And so the point is that there's room for disagreement. But on this issue,

Trump has made it so important, this issue that the election was stolen. I mean, he gives it, and then you ask him any question about Ukraine, and his answer is

the election was stolen, and therefore I'm not president, and, you know, that's why this happened.

And I think that if you follow that to

its to its logic then I have to believe that to support him because other because he has

made it so important he has made it so central he talks about it virtually every day in

one form or another and what is the reality of it?

What can he do about it?
