Good morning, Mark. Thank you.

You used to work at the New York Times. What the hell happened to this place?

I grew up there, journalistically. My first job out of college was at the New York Times.

I stayed for 16 years, learned some fundamental things about journalism and how to be a reporter.

And what happened to it, Mark, is the left took over.

And it became a propaganda sheet for the left.

And it started, look, one can quibble with lots of editors' decisions over the years

or all kinds of things going back to Stalin and World War II and Roosevelt

and the Jews, et cetera, et cetera.

But I think the, in our era, what went wrong was in 2016, when Donald Trump announced,

2015, when Donald Trump announced his election, and then in 2016,

when the Times media writer at the time wrote a piece about how do you cover Donald Trump

if you think he's a racist, a demagogue, and shouldn't be anywhere near the nuclear

code. And my answer to that question was, you shouldn't cover him. That's a conflict of interest,

if you think that way about him. And there's no way you can be fair. The editor of the New York Times
