Thank you. Before we get to the column, you didn't watch the White House Correspondents dinner, did you? No, I knew you would, so I didn't have to. Well, I just checked it out. It was quite pathetic.

They've marginalized himself.

Nobody was there.

A guy from White Lotus was there.

He was the big star.

They chased him around the room.

They had trouble filling the tables.

And when are they going to learn their lesson?

Well, apparently not yet, right?

I mean, I did uh parts of the speech uh given by the

white house correspondence president um you know i i think most people don't understand what the whole

thing is mark i mean it's really like a private guild, right? They're like an old-fashioned

guild where they pull up the gates at night to make sure no new media, people can't come in,

and that everybody there has to subscribe to the Trump is Hitler mentality, and that's membership for you.

And it really is like they think what's very odd is historically they've been given

a great amount of leeway too much, in fact, to where they decide which organizations get to go into the Oval

Office.

There's a pool of about 12 or 13 organizations, and they've decided who's in that pool.

It's sometimes it rotates, but the Correspondents Association makes that decision.

And then it also decides who gets to sit in the briefing room,

where you see the press secretary give the briefing to reporters,

and there are 49 seats, and they've assigned them all to legacy media outlets.
