Good morning, Mark. Thank you.

So yesterday's column, it's a great column, but you're a little critical of the president

and not putting Israel on the agenda for the Middle Eastern trip.

But what do you think of the idea in general, this commerce diplomacy, even all of these

awful Middle Eastern countries, just make them partners in a lot of commerce and they'll behave

themselves.

It's risky.

Well, that is clearly the Abraham Accords.

That's the model.

And, you know, even before the Abraham Accords, I remember this very specifically, that

Jared Kushner had an event in the region, several, you know, during Trump's first term, in which it was all about the

economies and trying to create sort of a Palestinian economy that would work and that would

sort of give people a reason to be hopeful to sort of join the system and drop the war.

And of course, Mahmoud Abad and the Palestinian leaders all boycotted the event.

Right. And so there was this sense that the Palestinians have never been interested in joining the world.

They just want to destroy the world.

At least that's what their leaders have conveyed over and over again.
