I assume when you got Donald Trump on the line and started talking to him,

you were amazed at how calm and peacefully seemed with everything.

It is incredible, Mark, that he is able to weather these storms in ways that i think would uh drive most of us into the fetal position uh i mean he this was of course uh the day after the verdict

and in the manhattan trial and he was i mean i he clearly was taken aback by it and obviously not what

something he wanted and I'm sure he's calculated all the possibilities including jail time

but you would not have known if you didn't know about the case you would not have detected

anything amiss I mean there was a kind of even this to his voice

uh... he laughed at a couple of times in our conversation and i thought it was

quite remarkable that that he's able to take this kind of pound. Now, of course, he's got lots of experience, unfortunately.

And I think it's this attempt to destroy him, which is what the Democrats are about.

I mean, if you read today's New York Times lead story, it's about how everything, that his refusal to buckle under,

his refusal, his determination to run for president, even though he's a convicted felon,

just upends two and a half centuries of American democracy i mean to me mark when you finish reading

that piece you think well there's only one thing we can do we have to kill them i mean this is

an assassination bid it seems to me that the new york times is making uh because it says there's no
