Hey, right after the debate, I thought this was a bad night for Trump. Well, she was great. He was

terrible. But looking at these tracking polls and focus groups the next couple of days, it looked

like he really did well with independents. They were looking for the angry guy because

their problems are frightening to them, the prices, the crime. They weren't looking for any joy and hope.

They were looking for a mad, passionate candidate to, you think Trump had that figured out?

Well, I don't think that was the reason that he came across as glowering and angry no but i do think that

what they really wanted those independents was information i think they you know the new york

times sienna poll that came out before the debate showed pretty clearly that people

know trump they know what his policies are they know he he made their lives extremely better during his administration.

There's not much mystery about Donald Trump. People know what to expect, and they kind of saw it in the debate, I think.

For Kamala Harris, on the other hand, she remains a blank slate mark. She's been running without policies, without policies

on her platform, without interviews and press conferences, and all the normal pathways

through which a candidate tells voters why they should vote for her. And I think there were a lot

of things that happened in that debate. One is she didn't put any flesh on the bones of the very few policy ideas that she has put out there during the campaign.

And so people were still mystified about what an opportunity economy means.

And guess, I think someone actually suggested he trump should have just turned her and said

i'm seating the next five minutes to you you explain that which really would have been hilarious

right uh and and i think um you know also obviously because the the moderators were so in the

can for her they didn't push her on her big flip-flops.
