Hey, we talked about crime before.

Obviously, in the cities, it's a big issue, but you're a county executive.

This crime wave is spreading into the nicest suburbs, Long Island, Westchester, Connecticut.

This must really be alarming everybody out there.

Yeah, you know, people are upset about the issue of crime, whether you live in the city or in the suburbs.

Now, look, you know, do most people feel completely uneasy walking through the leafy suburbs, you know, during the day or even at night?

Probably not, but is it in the back of their head And do they still hear car alarms in the middle of the night

going off at times? Yeah. Do they not go into the city now because they're afraid to go to work

or go see a show or whatever? Yeah, I think that's true. So crime, I think, means different things to

different people. Obviously, if you were mugged, you're a victim. That means a lot. If you know somebody who was,

it means something. But if you haven't been the victim of a crime, it's in the back of your head that,

like, this isn't the way the world is supposed to live. And who's the good guys and who are the bad guys?

And unfortunately, everything is flipped on its head right now. So I think crime is a big issue,

but I also think just the bread and butter stuff is also as important, if not more, because what? The numbers
