Hey, when you were a county executive, you must have had a lot of problems. You must have had a lot of migrants show up in Westchester County, right? We did. We had illegal you know, illegal immigrants. We had people, American citizens on

welfare that were not eligible. So it's a big scam, not that it's not needed at times. People do need it.

But one of the things that we did, Mark, was the old system, people would come, they would apply,

and any fraud protection or

investigation that they would do, they would do months and months later after somebody already

applied and is receiving benefits, which is completely backwards.

They should do it at the beginning to make sure they're not eligible in the first place

and don't receive a dime. So that's kind of how we did it. We front-loaded it and we were able to,

you know, look, it's a hard system because there's so many people. You're dealing with bureaucrats

who don't care. They just sign them up. But we did have success and we did put our foot down, which of course really ticked off

all of the non-government agencies that received all the money from the county and the state.

You know, this is what's happening right now in New York City.

Why do you think the migrants are protesting not going to, you know, the facility instead of the hotel?

Because these charitable organizations with air quotes who are receiving millions and millions of dollars.

They're the ones that are, you know, causing a problem.

And, you know, I hope Mayor Adams really puts his foot down on this.

Well, what the hell is he thinking?
