Donald Trump going to take office in 20 days. You've got a new Congress.

And with that, the slimest, I mean, they can't afford anyone to get COVID because the Democrats

could take over. The slimest majorities for the Republicans, getting slimmer, by the way,

with some resignations. So let's bring in congressman mike lawler my good friend and my

congressman how are you hey rob how are you happy new year yeah happy new year

so all right just walk me through this for a minute it started off 220 to two fifteen right and then you got gates who resigned and it's not going to take

his seat so that's going to be a special election so that's down to two nineteen

and then trump picked uh mike waltz from florida and lees stephanic so that's

down to two seventeen so can you guys do anything if one person votes against the party?

We cannot. We would have a tie at 216, 216. Look, obviously, throughout the course of any Congress, the numbers fluctuate.

People get sick.

People are out of pocket, et cetera.

But, you know, when all these vacancies get filled, we'll be back at 220, but that will take a few months.
