Hi everyone and thank you for tuning in to the my childhood and so many others. He's an actor who a long time ago in a galaxy far

far away, well 42 years ago in Hollywood to be exact, originated the part of

Luke Skywalker, a farm boy who winds up on a grand adventure in George

Lucas's landmark blockbuster Star Wars, and who will later this year appear in his sixth Star Wars

film.

And he's also done all sorts of outstanding work

in between those films, including voicing the part of the Joker

in numerous animated and video game productions,

starring in five different Broadway shows and this year

stealing scenes left and right as a battle-hearted member of the Knights Templar

an ancient Catholic Order of Warrior Monks on the second season of the History Channel's drama

series Nightfall, the iconic Mark Hamill. Over the course of our conversation at

Hamill's home in Malibu, the 67-year-old and I discussed how Hamill, a Navy brat who spent his childhood

all around the world, landed at 17 in Hollywood, what the fateful series of events were that

led him to Luke, and how his life changed after

moviegoers first saw him in the part, how he felt about the various twists and

turns experienced by his character over the decades and about the people he

collaborated with on those films.

Why he sought out theater and voice acting opportunities between the various installments of

Star Wars and why he was so excited to play on Nightfall, a character who is an

S.O.B. and looks nothing like he does. Plus, much more. I must say this

guest means a lot to me and I know to many of you and he did not disappoint.
