Good morning and welcome back to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham.

On the longest day of the year, that's right, it's the summer solstice and all the sensible

people have taken themselves off to Stonehenge to welcome in the new era with all the

druids and the sunshine and all of the stones down there.

We've been constantly trying to find out exactly where those stones came from,

and we still don't really know. Meanwhile, in the rest of the world,

the political world particularly, has gone absolutely stark, staring bonkers mad.

Mark Field, foreign office minister, may well find himself out of a job later on today.

Dawn Butler has called for him to be suspended or sacked because he removed a climate change protester from the mansion house dinner last night.

Now, I'm sorry, but if you are sitting at a dinner table and where you have dignitaries,

where you have people who should be protected by big time security,

and somebody comes at you at speed, you have to take them out.

I'm sorry, I bear no grudge against the woman in particular, the woman in question.

It so happens that she was a woman, she didn't have to be a woman.

People are saying that Mark Field was over heavy-handed with her.

Well, he didn't know what she was carrying. And as somebody pointed out

earlier to me, it doesn't matter if she wasn't carrying anything. She could have easily picked up a

knife. She was sitting at a dinner table and a knife could have been used to stab the chancellor.
