The budget for lobbying for hyper-processed food is about the same as the lobbying budget for the Department of Defense.

Food appears to be cheap, but we are absorbing those costs in a different way.

If you start concentrating on eating largely unprocessed foods more vegetables legumes

nuts and so on it's a healthier diet so I thought well why don't I just eat like a

vegan fanatic until six o'clock every day and then do whatever the hell I want to do for dinner.

And I did that and it worked.

It's not that there are no overweight vegans.

Coca-Cola and French fries are vegan.

The wonderful coincidence

is that what's good for you is good for the planet.

They say that the human race is doomed, that we have lost touch with our true nature, that the media has corrupted us and that the planet has no future.

I disagree.

I believe that humanity is full of hope

and that our salvation lies within each one of us.
