0:53.7	way back in 17th century Massachusetts when the white man and

1:02.7	Anyway, we're not in fifth grade.
1:05.0	But yeah, there is the history here of the pilgrims having suffered through a horrible, horrible winter. They did not
1:14.9	expect the New England winters to be quite like what they did suffer. They actually
1:19.7	intended to land farther south, maybe no more toward the current Manhattan. But it was a 66 day crossing and they needed a land.
1:32.3	And they ended up in Plymouth and the winter was horrible.
1:37.3	Most people through them and tried to stay on board ship.
1:40.3	Roughly half of them didn't survive.
1:43.3	They didn't know how to survive.
1:45.5	And they didn't know the flora and the fauna very well.
