And this week I've actually gone back to some of the archives

because there was a very prominent politician who sadly passed away this week.

But he had a huge legacy and a really great passion for Scottish

outdoors so we pay in tribute I've also been down to one of the finest art deco buildings in

Scotland and visiting a turn colony well several turn colonies fact thousands of, thousands of turns, fabulous animals, tremendous sound, but not without its risks.

Where we are in Scotland at the moment is raspberry season.

But have you ever considered what you actually look for in a raspberry? Is it flavour? Is it texture? Is it colour?

To be honest, I hadn't thought about it at all until I went along to the James Hutton Institute near Dundee.

Nikki Jennings took me along to their new demonstration tunnels, which this year, amongst many other types of fruit, contain different types of brand new raspberries.

And I said to her, look, OK, your job. What is a fruit breeder?

A fruit breeder breeds new varieties for the industry.

So I work on raspberry.

So we're looking for new varieties for both the UK and European industries
