Welcome back to Hot Takes and Deep Dives and my next guest, you may know him from a variety

of places, from his appearances on the Chapelle show, his one-man shows, his uncanny impressions,

he's a stand-up comedian, he made 152 appearances on the view. But let's face it, the role

that truly changed his life must be that of Anthony Marantino on Sex in the City. We have a lot

to talk about Mario Cantone. I love that. I love that. I love that they made me a banker finally

because I hated being a wedding planner. I couldn't design your wedding if you paid me a billion dollars,

I didn't get that gene. I don't know how to do that. I don't care about your dress or your shoes,

don't care. I love food. So when Michael Panker King decided to make me a banker, this one I was

like, this is the greatest thing in the world. And with hot bread with hot man, I'm very happy.

I was very happy about that. I really was. I'm trying to even figure out where we should start,

because I obviously don't want to spend a bit of time on the Sex in the City. But what perhaps

most inspires me about you is that you have been with your husband for like over 30 years.

Yeah, 30 years. We met at Don't Tell Mama on 46th Street in Piano Bar in June 20th, 1999.

But we were just friends for like year and a half and then we got serious in like in October of

91 and then we moved in together in March of 92. Yeah, I don't celebrate too much. I don't talk

about it a lot because I mean I do talk about it but I don't celebrate it because once you do the

you know the reality show together or you write the book together, it's over. People

celebrate their relationships all over Instagram and then come to it's over. It's like, you know,

not because of the celebration because we're like, I mean, you know, I don't understand all that,

you know, people just kept it for like, you know, a year. It's like, it's nothing.

You know what bugs me? Straight people who will call their boyfriend or girlfriend their partner.
