like to drive in Formula 1 back when he was in it and also to get his thoughts on what Formula

motorsport. Today we have a very special guest indeed. He is one of only two drivers to have one

races in Formula 1, Indycar, NASCAR and the World Sportscar Championship. Not only that,

but he is also a Formula 1 World Champion, winning the title in 1978. Safe to say, it's a pretty

damn awesome guest indeed. It is of course Mario and Dretty. Mario, how are you? Welcome!

Thank you for spending the time. We've related some questions from some fans. We put a tweet out

quite recently and a lot of people were excited to have you on the show. So we're just going to dive

into some questions. Obviously a lot of them around Formula 1. So I'm going to start with one from

Claire Rook. And this is probably a question you've been asked many times. How far along

is your bid to join the Formula 1 grid? Claire Rook says, I'd love to see an Andretty F1 team.

Have they met any resistance from Formula 1 teams? First of all, how is the Formula 1 bid going?

Well, I think it's going pretty well at the moment. In the sense we're working on it every day,

every single day. We have a team on the ground basically in Europe and here's so Michael and his team

and myself were every single day answering questions and just trying to comply with all the requests.

And so that's all we can do. I mean we're waiting for them to just tell us, okay, what else do you

need? What else do you want to know? And so far, I don't know anything that we have not complied with.

So tell us a little bit about the process of trying to join Formula 1. I imagine it's quite a
