I'm your host, Gene McCarthy.

I have spent the day going through old episodes of this show and cataloging the 200-plus episodes that we have.

And it has been my privilege and my honor to be a part of this project for several years now.

And one of the amazing things that happens is that we often lately have guests who are here because listening to the bubble hour helped them put together their

patchwork of recovery.

It was a part of their recovery.

And after a period of time, they decide to give service by coming on the show and joining

us.

And sometimes these people reach out to me and we develop a bond and we write back and

forth and we get to know each other a little bit and encourage each other in our recovery.

And that is the case with today's guest, Marie.

Marie wrote to me over a year ago now to tell me that she was really struggling in her first early days

and that the bubble hour had been helping her.

And I wrote back and back and forth, back and forth for a little bit.

And since that day, we have been cheering each other on and just watching amazing things unfold in Marie's life.

And Marie is a ray of sunshine.

It just so happens that we even got to meet in person not that long ago.

And, you know, it just goes to show how when we reach out, the world opens up to us.
