The same year that she was born, Samuel Johnson, his first dictionary was published.

During her lifetime, the American Revolution would occur.

She actually would meet Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and also during the lifetime Jane Austen was born.

So that should give you an idea of where she fits in history.
