Dear God, I surrender to you, my relationship with my parents.

Help me to forgive them for where they got it wrong, and help me to honor them for where they got it right.

I release my father and I release my mother

from all responsibility for who I am now. Whether I have one set of parents or whether I have more.

Whether my parents are physically incarnate or not. I now salute the spirit of God within them. I forgive them for any transgression and I thank them for their gifts to me.

May their spirits be blessed, may their spirits fly free,

that I might go forward,

unbound by any negative impressions from their hands upon me,
