That is a little bit of a song called The Shuffle Man by Robin Hitchcock from his new album

Shuffle Mania. Starting out as a folky in Cambridge, England, Mr. Hitchcock went on to front

the very influential psychedelic pop band The Soft Boys. This at the height of the punk explosion

in England, you know, everybody was tearing everything down and Hitchcock was singing with The

Soft Boys. I want to destroy you making fun of that attitude. After The Soft Boys, he started a

long and fruitful solo career. He is now up to, depending on how you count, 22 solo albums.

Hitchcock is living these days in Nashville with a partner Emma Swift who is collaborating on

this album with him. You know, he apparently unusual in his long career. He's now 69, went into a

period of not writing any songs. Wondered if there was much point anymore during the pandemic.

Then he bounced back with a very productive songwriting spree. He tapped Greg long distance,

some of his many fans and collaborators, including Johnny Mar of the Smiths is on guitar Sean Lennon.
