There is a Tennessee doctor who has voluntarily retired her medical license and why. Well, this is a good one.

She had a patient. She borrowed $300,000 from this patient, longtime patient. She's known this woman for many, many years. They were personal

friends. She's been treating this woman for forever. She borrows $300,000, then diagnose her

with dementia when the patient asks for her money back. Now the doctor is saying she was set up by this vindictive patient and she only agreed to retire after the state attorney presented her with effectively an unwinnable legal case.

When she was questioned by investigators regarding her diagnosis of dementia, she admitted that it was purely on an observation.

No testing, no second opinion from a mental health professional.

A psychologist later assessed the woman saying no indication of dementia whatsoever. Dr. Lee stood by her dementia

diagnosis, which occurred about two years ago, saying that her patient exhibited erratic behavior,

not erotic, erratic behavior and signs of memory loss. Therefore, she really didn't know whether she wanted her money back and under what

circumstances of $300,000 was given to Dr. Lee.

And Dr. Lee is in the middle of the $300,000 business, and dispute some aspects of the case.

But conceded facts while negotiating an agreement with the Tennessee Department of Health and Board of Medical Examiners during a meeting last month.

Now, that has nothing to do with the lawsuit, whether she borrowed the money or not.

This is the medical board that determines whether someone should remain a doctor or licenses

the doctors.

And what she did is she ultimately signed a consent order voluntarily retiring her license

and agreeing to pay a $2,000 fine.

You see that in the legal profession all the time, and that is lawyers two seconds before

they're about to get disbarred voluntarily resign the time. And that is lawyers, two seconds before they're about to get disbarred, voluntarily

resign the bar. They say, okay, I'm out of here, knowing they're going to be nailed and disbarred.
