Okay, sports fans, pick your metaphor. Just feet from the tape in the last lap, in the bottom of the ninth with seconds until the final bell in the

fourth quarter, we remain in a dead heat. Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are almost freakishly tied across the country

and with razor-thin margins for one or the other in the critical seven swing states that almost

certainly will decide the election. While pundits pour over every piece of polling data as if they were hieroglyphics on the Rosetta Stone,

so far nothing seems to obviously break the deadlock.

By now, Trump's strategy is painfully obvious.

He's on a full throttle mission to convince Americans that we are teetering on the edge of a dystopian nightmare

presided over by Harris, streets crawling with violent immigrants, inflation gutting the middle class,

and woke mobs pulling the strings of American society. And as his shadow running mate,

he's unveiled in the last two weeks, none

other than the world's richest man, Elon Musk, who's been showing up at rallies like a dutiful

marionette and tossing out cash by the million to Maga Faithful. Harris is driving her campaign to

the finish line with a two-prong message.

First, that Trump is a despotic tyrant who cannot be trusted with the reins of government

again.

Second, that she is the true champion of the middle class while Trump is in bed with billionaires.

With the race, razor close, what might tip one candidate over the line remains an enigma.
